Teamwork is essential to any group that hopes to achieve its goals. Any organization, whether it is for profit or not, needs each member to perform well within the framework of a team. Whether a team member works with others regularly or works alone most of the time, it is of utmost importance that he/she knows how to perform well as a member of a team. That’s why team building is necessary for the members to work cohesively with one another. Then again, there are a few disadvantages to team building as well. Let’s outline a few of the obvious advantages to team building and the not-so-obvious disadvantages.

Better Assessment of Employees
Sometimes, employees can be hard to figure out when they are in the office. Team building allows the leaders to carefully examine a worker’s strengths and weaknesses in a non-threatening environment. It also gives leaders the chance to see which employees deserve their trust while evaluating their performance within a team set-up.
