Makati Hope Christian School, spearheaded by Mr. Luke C. Roxas, huddles the training ground of champions by executing excellence not just in academics but as well as in athletics, by acing the 6th Filipino Chinese Schools Alliance Basketball League (FCSABL), which took place last February 26, 2012 at the home of the champions, Makati Hope Christian School.
The Makati Hope Christian School (MHCS) Varsity High School team is comprised of players from the 1st to 4th year levels which are carefully trained to execute excellence by taking heed not just of each other’s strengths but as well as their weaknesses weaved together to emanate the finest varsity team tailored to triumph as evident in its back to back championship in the aforementioned basketball league. The MHCS Basketball Varsity team’s triumph was all under the supervisory of their coach, RJ Guevarra. Moreover, the students have brought home a massive bacon by a back-to-back championship as the other two varsity teams, MHCS Grade School Varsity team and the Basketball varsity team that is comprised of students from 1st year High School down to the elementary level of the school bagged the First Runner-Up and Third place spot respectively in the same aforementioned basketball league. The High School Varsity Team rose victorious against their adversary, Northern Rizal Yorklin School. Truly the Makati Hope Christian School imbibes the value of every student in the school to be the training ground to unleash the undiscovered talents and hone their potentials at its fullest. The MHCS Varsity team, who bagged the 6th basketball league, and the other two varsity teams are a clear manifestation of obedience with the word of the Lord that says:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23
