If you want your product or service to go a long way, you should not underestimate the power of social media when it comes to the strengthening of Customer Engagement. The attitude and approach in social media should not just be targeted at simply creating awareness of your product and/or service; it should also keep your customers engaged in the development of your product and/or service. Think brand awareness and customer retention. Social media is a very helpful tool in building trust with your customers, if used the right way. Gaining the customers’ trust is the first step in keeping them engaged.
When entering the realm of social media, clearly outlined expectations and goals are important. Social media can do so many things that sometimes, it can be overwhelming. It starts with identifying who your targeted market is. What are you going to put in your page? How many people are you targeting to “like” your page or “follow” your account? Are you going to maintain a steady blog? How much of your page content will composed of photos and videos? Outline your strategy to materialize customer engagement. Research on what will attract your target market to your social media page. It’s going to affect the way your visitors perceive your page, and your revenue and sales as well.
