How to Promote your People | Luke Roxas Blog

You’ve all heard this story before: Jack is a good employee. In fact, he’s the best one you’ve got. He has excellent skills and everything you ask him to do turn out better than what you thought. So you promote him to supervisor. Six months in, with incompetent results and tons of complaints from former teammates later, you fire him. So what went wrong? You promoted him! Jack was doing an excellent job where he was when you pulled him out of an environment and job description that perfectly suited his strengths.

Just because you have a hardworking and highly competent employee doesn’t mean he deserves to be promoted to the next available high-ranking position. That’s why there are employee performance reviews. This process will give you the chance to hear directly from your employees what it is they do really well and what position they can really fill. This also gives you the chance to talk to them about specific areas for improvement and to determine where exactly this employee can grow in your company.

Here are three key things to consider when evaluating someone for a promotion:

How to Make Your Clients Pay on Time | Luke Roxas

Making your clients pay on time is not an easy task. In the first place, it has to be done in such a way that would not turn them off, just like what annoying collectors do when they go to your doorstep and insist things. Nor can it be done too softly and sweetly that you’d end up giving them the impression that it’s perfectly fine if they always pay up late.

But how can we really assure that they would pay on time? Okay, let me tell you.

How to Make Clients Pay on Time

1) Move fast.

If you want to get paid on time, you have to make sure that your processes are done quickly but accurately. If a service or product has been completely given to the client, then bill them immediately and ensure that that entire process is fast as well. Besides, your clients may be too busy so you have to catch up with their pacing.

Continuous operations were made to further beautify the surroundings of Caliraya Lake and it became a fancy location for vacation homes similar to those in Western countries. In the 1980’s, Caliraya Lake experienced some downfalls when the place was occupied by the New People’s Army. However, ways of maintaining the serenity of the place continued since 1980. Ways on how to Better Develop Yourself | Luke Roxas

Ways to Develop YourselfThere is always room for improvement, many people say. In fact, even the ones who are already well-established in their respective fields never close their door to further development as experts of their chosen profession or industry. This is because they keep in their mind that they should level up from time to time and do things better. But how is it done? Read on and learn about the five ways to develop yourself.

1) Listen to what others tell you

Sometimes, it’s hard for us to pinpoint our own points for improvement. This is why for some individuals, it really takes the opinion of other people before they could realize that they have something to change or develop about them. In certain colleges and universities for instance, each student is required to evaluate all of their teachers for the faculty member to realize both his/her strong and weak points. And of course, he/she could analyze the feedback received as he tries to be a better teacher next semester. It is also the reason why student go through workshops. Its activities help people realize what they are probably missing out about them or their works.

Setting a Budget for Social Media Marketing | Luke Roxas Blog

With all the technology we have now, we can say that we are really lucky. Of course, one of the things that we enjoy from this high-tech era is social media. Apart from being a phenomenal form of entertainment, social media has already emerged as an effective platform in promoting business. Unlike before when you have to pay high rates just to have your product promoted or advertised, you can now use the social media in promoting your business along with other advertisements.

Sounds good, I know. But I’m certain that we still have numerous interesting questions regarding the overall potential of social media. For instance, do you really need to spend for social media networking? And if so, how much should you spend on it?

One of the most common beliefs when speaking of social media is that it is and will always be for free. Many believe that nothing should be spent for social media marketing. Well, they have a point. Social networking sites are usually free. Because of this, people assume that when dealing with it, even in terms of marketing in business, it does not come with a price.

Qualities of a Good Employee | Luke Roxas

Qualities of a Good EmployeeThere are a number of qualities that separates a good employee from those who are not. These qualities are the same ones that employers check out for, even before the employee starts working for the company. Indeed, there are qualities that a keen employer would (and should) instantly see and feel even during the job interview itself.

If you are an employer who wishes to ensure that your employer recognize you as one of his employees, or one who is looking to nail your next job interview, see if these key qualities of a good employee is in you. And if not, ask yourself if you can still practice in order for you to have them.
