Makati Hope Christian School Celebrates its 27th Anniversary (Part 1) | Luke Roxas Site

Makati Hope Christian School with Mr. Luke Roxas as Chairman of the Board is celebrating its 27th anniversary this year. The school has been producing quality students since its creation in 1985.  It opened with a number of 25 pre-school students and five teachers only. In 1986, the government has granted the school to admit nursery and kindergarten pupils. In 1989, Makati Hope Christian School located at 2312 Don Chino Roces Avenue, formerly Pasong Tamo Extension has managed to complete the elementary course. In the same year, the construction of the third and fourth floor annex was completed and the historical graduation of the first batch of Grade 6 students happened. Ms. Ruby Yao was appointed as Principal in 1991. 1993 was the year when the granting of government recognition from first to fourth years of general secondary course. Makati Hope Christian School aims to improve and develop internally and externally every year. Constructions were annually performed for the betterment of the learning institution. In 1992, the new Physics and Chemistry laboratory was built. After two years, the fourth floor classrooms were finished.

A number of extracurricular activities were also done for the enhancement of Makati Hope Christian School students. The First Spring Concert was produced in 1997. The Face of the Year Pageant was launched the following year. It was a charity fund raising event organized by the students. In the same year, the maiden issue of Candle Pen, the school’s official newsletter, was published. Makati Hope Christian School aids its students to be socially responsible and genuinely cooperative inside the environment they are living in.
